What does it mean to be a part of UC Berkeley's Small Business Program?

UC Berkeley Supply Chain Management is pleased to announce the implementation of a new Small Business First Program coming spring of 2021! This program is committed to providing contracting and procurement opportunities for Certified Small Businesses.

UC Berkeley commits to providing contracting and procurement opportunities to Certified Small Businesses - which may include DBEs, WOSBs, HUBZone, VSOBs, DVBEs. Procurements between $10,00 to $250,000 that cannot be procured via an existing strategically-sourced agreement will follow a quicker procurement process that focuses and increases spend with Small Business, Minority Business, or  Disabled Veterans Business Enterprise suppliers of goods and services.

Benefits of this program include:

  • Opportunity to participate in the UC procurement process for purchases between $10,000 - $250,000
